ATSI completed the base year of its second five-year contract supporting the Office of Naval Research (ONR) requirement to support the Department of Navy (DoN) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Transition Program (Navy STP). The mission of Navy STP is to provide commercialization, transition, and professional business assistance through a structured program so that the participating small businesses are in the best position to obtain Phase III funding. The Navy STP helped participating companies work to transition 144 Naval SBIR/STTR technologies. These companies presented their products at one of four Navy Forum for SBIR/STTR Transition focused technology events, organized and supported by ATSI.
The Navy STP has been a long-standing vehicle for connecting SBIR/STTR-funded technologies with warfighters, government acquisition and technical personnel, prime contractors, system integrators, and other potential partners and collaborators. The program takes a holistic approach to coaching selected small businesses to transition their technologies through business mentoring, training, marketing material creation, and business development activities and promotion. Congratulations to the ATSI team who has been supporting Navy STP. Your contributions have made this successful year possible!
